Shipping

Every piece is packed and posted by hand from Rossano, in Calabria, Southern Italy.

What it costs

Shipping depends on where it is going and how bulky the piece is. Coats and jackets take a larger parcel than a shirt, so they cost a little more. Prices are per parcel, in euro. Each destination also shows its carrier and the usual transit time, counted in working days after dispatch.

"Coats & jackets" covers leather, wool and fur coats and jackets. Trench coats ship at the lower rate everywhere except Switzerland and Australia, where they take the larger parcel.

Somewhere not on the list?

We post worldwide, but only these destinations have a fixed price. If you are somewhere else, write to Paula and she will find out what it costs to reach you and tell you before anything is agreed.

Buying more than one piece

Several pieces usually travel together in one parcel for one shipping cost. Heart the pieces you like and send Paula the list - she will work out the postage for that exact combination. This is why shipping is arranged through a conversation rather than a fixed rule.

Who carries it, and how long it takes

Paula packs and posts every parcel herself, usually within two working days of payment and almost always within three. Parcels within continental Europe travel with UPS; those going further afield, and to the islands of Malta and Cyprus, go with DHL. The table above names the carrier for each destination, and so does the price you are shown before you pay.

The transit times in the table are typical rather than guaranteed. The lower figure is what usually happens; the higher one allows for customs, which can add days to any parcel leaving the European Union and is outside anyone's control. If you need a piece somewhere by a particular date, ask Paula first and she will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Customs and duties

Parcels within the European Union carry no extra charges. Every other destination on the list is outside the EU customs area - the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Andorra as much as the United States, Canada, Japan or Singapore - and your country may charge import duty, tax or a handling fee on arrival. Those charges are set by your own customs authority, are not included in our prices, and are yours to pay. Vintage clothing is declared honestly as used second-hand goods.
